Manchester United winger, Cristiano Ronaldo, the top scorer in the Premiership, is to ask his girlfriend’s step-dad for her hand in marriage according to reports from the gossip magasine Now.

Cristiano’s girlfriend, Nereida Gallardo, is a model based in Majorca. Apparantly Ronaldo is getting fed up with trying to hold down a long term relationship.

Nereida, 24, is expected to move into his £4million mansion in Alderley Edge, Cheshire, now the football season has ended.

‘He needs stability and has always relied on the strong back-bone of his family and relatives,’ a source tells the Daily Star.

‘He looks at so many of his teammates who head off to their loved ones, and that’s what he now wants.

‘He is really missing that special someone. With Nereida moving over here to be with him, it’s going to make the pair of them so much happier.’
